While the staff is generally helpful, there were things about the property that would lead me to choose another property in the future. The check in process is an annoyance as the check in system required me to punch in my credit card pin. I've never had to do that before and generally don't need a pin to use my card. I don't remember the last time I did in fact. The front desk couldn't help as it was "process" and so that required me to spend an extra 20 minutes or so reaching out to the bank to check in after having taken an evening flight. ||The room. Pros: the water pressure on the shower was great! Cons: no usb plug ins for charging your personal accessories, the pillows were lumpy, there were red stains on the black out curtains, but none of it bothered me more than my backpack being covered in what seemed to be pet hair after dropping it on the carpet.

Leaves a lot to be desired. Arrived after a cross country flight to check in and tell me they couldn't honor my reservation as they oversold the hotel. They then said I needed to move to a Fairfield Inn, 20 minutes away, for one night only, then move back the following day. This was a major inconvenience as I had a tight schedule and needed to pack up the next morning. I reached out to the Operations Manager twice after this incident and didn't even get the courtesy of a reply from her.

Once back at the Residence Inn the next day, the rooms are very worn. They are starting a renovation and by the looks of things the hotel needs it. The room looked like it needed a good deep cleaning. Lots of black hairs in the bathroom.

There are definitely better options in the area with better amenities and customer service.

I stayed 2 months ago and it wasn’t the best experience.

Location location location. Irvine central that you get to John Wayne, the District, The Diamond, UCI, Newport Beach, gas stations, groceries, restaurants of all sorts of cuisines. Corona Del Mar, I-405 and I-5 within more or less 10 mins.

The service was minimal but responsive enough. The quality of maintenance was poor. I stayed 5 nights and I had engineer for the first 2 days/ nights. The first night I asked him to leave at 11pm. The next day he started late and still in my room at 9pm when he said the aircon will be fixed between 1400-1600. It was very annoying.
My AC was never properly fixed but at that point I had daily meeting for the next 3 days so I went ahead with noisy AC till checkout. Fortunately the rest of my Marriot stays in other properties were better.

The room configuration was perfect, comfortable, and very livable. The pantry/ kitchen was a really nice feature but what I loved the most is the large working desk facing the window. Most hotels have their desk facing the wall. Amenities were sufficient but if you need anything more than basic cvs and Ralph are within walking distance.

This hotel is inconsiderate at best and likes to wake up its neighbors at 6AM with vendor noise. They have 0 respect for its community or neighbors. I can only imagine how they treat their guest!

The room is deplorable. I got it through Expedia. Is that the reason why residence inn wants to have a crappy rating? The mattress is lumpy and uncomfortable. We’re on the second floor next to a bunch of air conditioning units on the outside roof(what a view). The room a/c is so loud, it wakes you up out of a deep sleep. If you open the windows for fresh air, you hear the roof a/c units.

My stay at this property was an absolute disappointment, mainly due to the behavior of Charles. When I asked about a fee, he responded with hostility, raised his voice, and spoke down to me in a condescending manner. To make matters worse, I was informed that no manager is currently overseeing the property, which seems to give the staff free rein to act however they please. This lack of supervision has clearly led to poor customer service and an unprofessional environment. I would strongly advise against staying here.

It's very quiet. The staff are top tier. Breakfast is everything - the best anywhere. Walking trails, grocery, gas, parks and attractions nearby.

This is a utility hotel and not a luxury hotel, as long as you judge it as such, you will not be displeased.

I arrived a bit early for check in and was advised that I could wait for my room with a "view" or check in immediately to a different room. I was not in a hurry so I agreed to wait. As a result, the front desk clerk (whose name i do not remember but was VERY cheery) was able to immediately upgrade me from a studio to a 1 bedroom. I appreciated the upgrade and the effort.

I had requested late checkout (2pm) at check in but on checkout day, they knocked on my door at noon to ask about check out. I simply advised them that I was checking out late and they did not question it at all. When I checked out at the desk they indicated that my late checkout was not in the system but did not cause an issue.

Overall, I stayed for 6 nights without incident and the product/service were in line with the price point so no major complaints. The lobby, dining area, pool and outdoor space are kept very nice and clean. The rooms however could definitely use some update/upgrading. The hallways were dingy, yellow and did have an unpleasant smell, likely from the large amount of pet owners staying there.
